Preparing your home for a real estate photo shoot can significantly enhance the final images. Here are some tips:
Declutter: Remove any unnecessary items from each room. The cleaner and tidier the room, the better it will photograph.
Clean: Dust, vacuum, and clean windows and mirrors. Make sure kitchen counters are clean and clear.
Stage: Consider staging the home. This can include setting the dining room table, arranging furniture in a pleasing way, or adding fresh flowers.
Light: Open all blinds and curtains to let in as much natural light as possible. Turn on all lights, including lamps and under-cabinet lighting.
Exterior: Don't forget the outside. Mow the lawn, tidy up the garden, and remove cars from the driveway.
-
While it's not necessary for you to be present during the photo shoot, you're welcome to be if you prefer. Some homeowners like to be on-site to answer any questions the photographer may have. Alternatively, if you have a lockbox installed, you can provide us with the lockbox code, and we can access the home without anyone needing to be there. This can be a convenient option for homeowners and real estate agents with busy schedules.

The duration of a photo shoot can vary depending on the size of the property and the number of photos required. Small properties, such as 1-2 bedroom homes, can often be photographed in as little as 30 minutes. Larger properties might require an hour or longer. Please note that these times are estimates and the actual duration can vary based on specific property features and photography requirements.
